This word may have different meaning for different situation. On this topic I will used the word struggle in the sense of "attitude". The reason I want to get into this topic is that I have been seeing for the last couple years a decline in people showing a good attitude towards struggle. Instead I have been hearing people saying many time "why even bother" or "they are all the same" or even "everyone does it". These kind of phrases do not help others in the pursuit to have a good attitude toward a struggle. Oh wait, here's another one "when you reach to my age". I do not believe that anyone should wait for many years to see whether the struggle is worth it or not. When you spread these kind of phrases around, you are taking away the opportunity for other to carry on the torch of hope. But instead people are taking their own torch of light and after running for many years they decided to just throw it in the water. These kind of phrases only help other people that promote anti-religion,anti-social, anti-capitalist or anti-government. Or any other issue that may help people grow.
I do understand that a lot of us struggle for many years and sometime be seems pointless. It seems like your struggle is not taking any affect. But that is far from the truth. Every little action that you take to ensure that other may pursue a better life. It is not wasted at all. If you are able to show only one person out of 100 that life is worth struggling that one person might one day save themselves or the world. You just never know.
Imagine if your farmer live in Florida and say "why even bother to plant a tree if one day a hurricane can come and knock everything down". If that would've been the attitude of a farmer we would not have any orange juice anywhere. If a teacher see one student that is unwilling to learn and decided to say "they are all the same they would never learn". We will probably have a lot of people that would be ignorant.
Just because you were unable to see the fruit of your struggle it does not mean that the struggle itself is not worthy to pursuit.
Just because they are some few rotten apple it does not mean all the apple will be rotten.
Just because they are some few religious leader that are sinners it does not mean all the religious leaders are sinners.
Just because there are a few dishonest politician it does not mean all of them are dishonest.
Just because there are few unprofessional police officer it does not mean that they all unprofessional.
And so on.
There will be people out there that would like you to believe that all religious leader are evil and all politician are crooks and all police officer are bad people. These are the kind of people that other look for who seems to be losing faith in their struggle. They were use these people for their own personal agenda of destruction. They were use these people to promote hatred and anti-religion and anti-government. So if you can show others how you are able to confront and deal with the struggle you are passing on to them, the torch that will light their way in the time of darkness.
