This is a very big topic that I will be getting into and I know this will be many parts involved. I am writing this article on a day that we call the 9/11 memorial but I also consider this day a day of appreciating what you have. Though I have always have been taught by my parents to always appreciate what you have no matter what the issue may be.
On this topic I will begin to talk about how to appreciate food and money. I love going to all kinds of different buffet. I like the variety and the ability that you can choose whatever you want in the amount you want.I have been to all kinds buffet from Italian, Chinese, French and in different places like in restaurant, hotels, casinos and in convention center. But one thing I've noticed in all these buffet, that the majority of the people always put on the plate more than what they can eat. I understand that the amount of variety that they have in these buffet and how it is very tempting, and for some people money is not an issue. And also people would like to save the time of going back and forth. But what people do not realize that it is not that you throwing money away but something far more worse. And that is the action and attitude of throwing away food when there are so much people in the world that a hand full of food is all they can get in one day.
I know when we go to these buffet we just want to sit down and enjoyed a good meal, which is my same attitude. But we should take the time and effort to create a good habit and appreciate what we have.
I for one have been lucky to have money coming in my way very easily. But like I always say "use but do not abuse". Some of us would like to show off the luxury of getting the food as much as your heart desire and not worry about anything. But in reality this is a destructive attitude toward the respect that you should have toward food. It is not so much as an ethical reason but as in respecting what you have. In some culture it is a sign of disrespect to leave food on your plate, maybe we should start using that same ethical concept in this country.
Whoever you may be and whatever level of income you have you should have the same respect about money as you will respect anything else. Just because you have the luxury to take $100 bill and lighted up so you can smoke your expensive tobacco does not mean that it is an attitude of disrespect for money. And do not think that I'm talking about wealthy people when in fact I'm talking about the middle class and low income people. They are the one that it's mostly trying to show off that they had the luxury to throw away money.
I have seen people they live on low income and receive and yet somehow they have they gold necklace and big cold ring and gold tooth. So before you start heading and stop associating people who throw away money has to be ration people, and that is far from the truth. That majority of people who are more likely to throw away money will be the middle class. But I do not want to get into a debate as to who is the one that are more likely to throw away money.
My issue regarding tour money is to show an attitude of respect and appreciating of the money you have, although you have the freedom to do whatever you wish with your money. But like I said before "use but do not abuse" it is an attitude that I use in every issue of my life. Also remember life has a funny way of showing us lesson that we need to learn, and you do not want to find yourself in a situation that you will be working very hard to get food or money. Just because some things in life come easy your way it does not mean you should use the situation whether to wasted or thrown away.
Although the subject in this article may seem simple but you will be surprised how hard it is for other people to discipline themselves. Luckily for me I have always respected the value of a dollar bill and have always use it wisely. And in regarding to food I have also learned to show appreciation and making sure that when of finish her meal there will be nothing left on the plate to throw away.
Always remembered to appreciate what you have now for you never know what the future may hold.
Before leaving any common please take a look at the information note to your right.
Bless you all and be well.
