Regulation, Rules & Laws (A) part 1

Good day. In this article I would talk about regulation- rules- laws. In the 1st part I will talk a little bit in general information about our daily social surrounding in our life. Like every subject It has its negative aspect and positive aspect. I am going to emphasize the positive aspect. And on the 2nd part I will talk about the same topic, but in our spiritual nature. So bear with me in reading this article for at the end I will have a spiritual point.

Regulation:

A great deal of our social structure is govern by regulation. Although we have grown to hate this word "regulation". And simply for the matter that our society has become over regulated. Regulation of place to keep Corporation from abusing the workers and the environment. In a small example, the environmental protection agency (EPA), was established by the Nixon administration in order to combat against the severe environmental problem at that time. It was a long battle, but in time we managed to control the environmental pollution caused by menufactor. But like all good idea and project they become overwhelmed by bureaucrats and excessive regulation. Instead of being of benefit to control pollution, It now becomes an instrument to control Corporation. But on the other hand, if it wasn't for the regulation we would have been living in an awful environment. Although they are still some environmental abuse out there, but it is not as worse as he was in the beginning of the 70s. But doing the Clinton administration, It has jumped to 86% in over regulation. And some in which it does not do anything for environmental protection.

Other benefit that regulation have is in our food. Food menufactor are regulated to keep food safe from contaminated. Even regulate workers to wear special clothing and keeping hands clean. Also, cooking and packaging are regulated for safety. It also regulate on proper machine maintenance and sterilization. These and many other regulation keep food from being contaminated.
Even farmers have regulation in growing their crops and in keeping livestock. They are regulation to prevent certain pesticides and chemical and also regulate the amount. And in regarding to the livestock there are regulation in keeping the animal held the and safe from contamination. Although this has not reached 100% profession, but today we have more healthier crops and livestock since the Kennedy administration. But doing the Carter administration they became over regulated, causing farmer to foreclose. But nowadays we get to enjoy healthier food with the encouragement of organic processing.

Other benefit that regulation has is in our community. Nowadays we have community that are developed for people to live safely. Regulation like noise pollution to keep community by being peaceful and quiet. Preventing people from turning their home into a auto mechanic shop or a rock concert or a laboratory to make who knows what or building a satellite to communicate with aliens. Okay, maybe I'm being silly. But some of you know what I'm talking about. Sometime people forget that a community is designed for people to go after a long day of work and would like to relax. Or for those who want to raise a family. People believe just because the own the property and house that they can do what ever pops in their head. Sometime people get their customize motorcycle or ATV and raced down the street, not even thinking of the safety of others or even if the noise disturbed the community.

Rules:

Although rules may have the same definition as regulation. Rules may be defined as something more permanent, where as to regulation. It can be change to be more or less what the regulations ask for.Rules are basically things that we have to do, or how we should conduct ourselves. They help us to live in a civilized and ethical society. It teachers how to learn the different between right and wrong. But like every good rules there are also abusive of just rules. Like for example, freedom of speech. You have the freedom to say whatever you want for as long as it be true, and not a lie. Or you have the freedom to say whatever you want for as long it doesn't become verbal abuse.

Other rules that apply, like in sports. Like in a boxing match, you cannot hit below the belt. Or you can use a bat to hit the ball but you cannot use a bat to hit another player. Or like in tennis you can disagreed with referring but you cannot use dirty word to insult them. These rules keep sports safe, fun and civilized.

Other rules that apply, like in driving. Although we all started to get our driver license and pass. Sometime we forget the rules. Like red light means stop. You should drive on the road, not on the sidewalk. And never tried to beat a train to the crossroad. And when the bridge saying no is on it does that mean you can still make it.And driving under the speed limit, even though you have a Lamborghini or the Batmobile.

Other ruled that apply, like ethics. Yes believe it or not there are also rules of ethics. For an example, was sitting at a table to eat. It is a rule that when you're eating you should not be talking with your mouth full. You should not put your elbow on the table while eating. And definitely you should not burp while you're at the table.Even when you are at a restaurant, You can have a conversation with someone that you are with, but it is inappropriate to be talking on the cell phone. In it. It is also inappropriate to be yelling across the table or the restaurant.

Laws:

Now laws in general cannot be more or less or broken. Laws on the definition is a little bit more complicated. For it is a set of rules that you must comply. Although in the beginning of the founding fathers laws were made with ethics and moral value as part of the foundation. But as time went by, it became the letter and rule of the law. And that is basically what we are seeing nowadays. Laws are being made in conflict against our moral and ethical value, and even our religious value. Laws can be applied in our social structure and in our personal lifestyle.Laws basically keep us from being destructive, whether it be physical property or toward other people.Again like every good laws, sometime we have excessive or unnecessarily laws.

In this 1st part basically what I'm trying to emphasize here is, although we have regulation, rules and laws that govern our daily life. This in sure that we as individual human beings can live with other human beings. It is very easy to find negative it any of these regulation, rules and laws. But wait neglect to appreciate all that has done to improve our life.

As in a small sample, we have a law that if you steal depending on the face value of that item, do we get either a ticket or some prison time or both. While in other part of the world like in Malaysia, if you steal no matter what you would get it is 6 months or even a year in prison. In fact, even if you talk piece of paper on the ground you would get prison time. In Malaysia, they have good laws, but the punishment ought to excessive. Unlike here in the United States we have many laws, but we are flexible in a punishment. Sometime to flexible.

The trick in dealing with regulation, rules and laws has to be in balance.
On my next article in part 2 in relating to regulation, rules and laws. I would talk about in this issue, with spiritual in nature.
