Why religion? (B)

In continuing from the article part (A). Sometime people belong to a religion basically depending what situate to their needs or to their convenience. And sometime people belong to a religion for political or corporate influence. And sometime they look for religion that would have more of a economic opportunity. There was a time when people were born into religion based on their family religious background, in another word, a family tradition. And if you would have some sort of conflict from one reason or another, you will search for other religion congregation, but in a different denomination. Like you probably will go to a reform or conservative or even orthodox denomination. But you will be in the same religion in which you grow up in.

But nowadays people change religion like they changed the shirt. If it doesn't fit them or look good on them, than just take out that shirt and go get another one. As an example. I had a friend who was in the Jewish religion, and because he was complaining that the people was praying like robots, and not truly expressing the meaning of the word that they were praying he decided to leave. So he change to Christianity. And now after few years and participating with the Christian religion, he started complaining that they also pray like robots and not truly expressing the meaning of every word in the prayer.

I told him that the true meaning and purpose of religion is the teaching in the holy books or Scriptures. If you belong or join a religion and rely on the people of that group, you may always find some sort of conflict. For it is not the people of that Institute that makes a religion, but rather in the teaching of the founder master.

If you see that there is a problem in the way the congregation project that religion in the wrong way, then you should try to become a good example. Show them the right way to truly practice that particular religion you belong to. Try to be the best example that you can be as in the teaching of that particular religion. That is how you truly practice the religious belief. Because no matter where you go you will probably find something that you may not like or understand. And if you look real closely. Maybe the problem is not in the religious Institute but within yourself. The whole purpose of having a religious foundation is that you will grow and become aware of your true spiritual nature.
You will not find your spiritual awakening in any building structure or even in a particular place. And if you do find some spiritual awakening from being inside a building or in a place, It is all because you were there. At the end it all depend upon you. But if you do find yourself in a religion that will help you grow spiritually, make sure that your choice is because of the teaching of that religion, not on how grander of the building structure it may be. Or how you may be surrounded by thousands of people belong in that religion or the building may be decorated in gold. But what the Scripture will teach you. Humanity are easily impress by the surrounding but forget of the spiritual growth.

Before leaving any common please take a look at the important note to your right.

Bless you all and be well.
